Scholarship Winner for this year is Kylea Moshier

Kylea MoshierKylea has been accepted to Azusa Pacific University and is double majoring in Business Administration and Humanities as part of the Honors College along with pursuing a minor in Spanish. She aspires to work for a nonprofit organization or in Healthcare Administration as a Chief Financial Officer.  Her overarching life goal is to make a lasting impact and to be a part of something bigger than herself.  She credits College Night in being instrumental in helping her prepare for the next step in her education and for giving her confidence by exploring options, forming connections, expanding her knowledge with the application process, and receiving useful information on colleges and programs.

Kylea is an outstanding scholar with many distinctions awarded for not only academics, but her character, school spirit, being a scholar-athlete, and involvement in numerous activities which include the California Scholarship Federation, World Languages, ASB, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Link Crew, Choir, track and field, and volleyball.  Though extensive, her list of activities gave the committee true insight into who she is as a person and what is truly important to her.   Her volunteer work showed her heart highlighting her work with Hands in the Community, a local non-profit service organization, as a truly impactful experience.  She credits her success to her supportive community and through her involvement in sports, clubs, church outreach, and service groups continues to discover more about what interests and inspires her as well as what motivates her to continue to grow and learn. We were impressed by her poise, her ability to communicate effortlessly, along with her determination and drive.  She is an outstanding young citizen and an amazing representative of Tulare County.

Sponsored by: Tulare County Office of Education, Tulare County High Schools, Tulare County Community Organizations and Businesses, Educational Employees Credit Union, University of California, Merced.

Additional support provided by Columbia College, Fresno Pacific University, Porterville College, San Joaquin Valley College, United Way of Tulare County.
