Zoom Virtual Professional Learning Series
Tulare, Fresno, Merced, Madera, Mariposa, Kings Counties for K-12 Teachers, School Administrators and Paraprofessionals
The California Budget Act of 2017 allocated funding for the County Offices of Education to provide high-quality professional learning, resources, and targeted support for K-12 history-social science so that teachers, administrators, and para-professionals
can go beyond the overview phase and move toward full implementation of the HSS Framework.
Participants of this VIRTUAL professional learning series will receive at no cost:
- Professional learning focused on developing inquiry-based critical thinking, improving literacy skills, and equipping teachers with knowledge and instructional strategies to promote civic engagement of students.
- Resources to comply with legislative mandates.
- Community of Practice networking and sharing of best practices facilitated by history-social science experts in local regional settings throughout the 2020-2021 school year.
